Wasn't Conference one of the most revelatory and uplifting experiences? I for one was absolutely and ridiculously happy to be able to participate in such an amazing and historical event!
A few things that stood out to me were:
1. The call to action!
We all have been extended so many invitations. I absolutely loved Sister Jones talk. She called the Sisters of the world to step forward and take their place in the hastening of the work. I think oftentimes we think that we don't have a need to be involved with the inter-workings of the Priesthood and the responsibilities they have. But we do! We are equally yoked! Our responsibilities may be different but they come together and intertwine to give us a single purpose. Which purpose is the same as Heavenly Father's! To "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
2. Hear Him!
Repeatedly, the Prophet has asked us to hear the voice of our Savior. In scripture, and in general, when the Lord asks us to do things multiple times its because its important. Make sure that you follow those suggestions. I promise that it will bring so much joy into your life!
3. MY MISSION PRESIDENT GOT CALLED AS A SEVENTY! We are all so very proud of him and excited for this new opportunity. He is one of the most faithful and genuine people I've ever had the good fortune of meeting. I always knew he would someday be a general authority, but I was NOT expecting it to be so soon, let alone while I was on my mission.
There was so many more amazing things that happened and if you don't know what I'm talking about go to churchofjesuschrist.org and check it all out!
So other than that I'm loving this area! We got to walk around the battlefield and get a tour from our very knowledgeable landlady. It was so cool to hear about the stories of everybody who lived and struggled in those times. It's so crazy that this place that I live in has seen so much history! I've been so blessed to be here!
I'm sorry I'm running low on time. I love you all and I LOVE this gospel!
Love, Sister Morrison
Onward and Upward!
Que Dieu vous bénisse
